The Oxford Challenge
The Original City Challenge. Oxford's beautiful 'City of Dreaming Spires' and the City from where the creative imaginations of Colin Dexter have become famous around the world with his inventive character Inspector Morse. Some of the greatest collections of buildings can be found in Oxford, all crammed into a tiny space less than a mile square. The 'City of Dreaming Spires' is never more inspiring than when viewed from one of the city's church steeples. Places as diverse as Alice in Wonderland's sweet shop, research hospitals, to hostelries where J R R Tolkien conjured up his amazing epic The Lord of the Rings and where Inspector Morse solved his latest crimes.
