Kevin Albin
As a police officer for 25 years, Kevin had an exciting and varied career, reaching the rank of Inspector. For the final two years of his service, he was seconded to the Youth Service to run Prince's Trust Volunteer Programmes. These are three month development programmes for 16-25 year olds, teaching communication, leadership and team building skills, through community projects, team building activities and outdoor pursuits, (climbing, caving and canoeing). A career change, in 2002, led Kevin into the adventure activities industry as a mountain and expedition leader.

Kevin has been a member of the City Challenge team since 1999.

Emma Barnett
Emma has an 18 years history of performing on an amateur and professional basis. She qualified as an aerobics teacher, fitness instructor and personal trainer which allows allowed her to improve her teaching skills both in a group and on a one-on-one basis. Moving into the corporate arena Emma realised her skills gained were transferable into the business world and she uses her skills in the corporate arena as part of team building days. Emma brings an infectious enthusiasm to all her work and her motivation and communication skills work well in small and large groups as well as with individuals. Emma is qualified as a Myers Briggs practitioner and is a Life Coach and co-presents Careerstart NLP sessions for the Girls Day School Trust.

Emma has been a member of the City Challenge Team since 2004.

Niel Chambers
With over 15 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Niel has been able to learn from some of the worlds top teaching institutes, which in turn has enabled him to work at a variety of prestigious health and fitness facilities. Niel's dynamic enthusiasm and fun approach always brings out the best in the teams he manages.

Niel has been with the City Challenge team since 1999.

Elizabeth Gray
Liz comes to the City Challenge team from an extensive background in Expedition Management, Outdoor Instructing and Event Facilitation. Liz started out working life as a scientific book illustrator, but after cabin-fever set in spent four years working overseas with Raleigh International - a youth development and leadership organisation as a staff member. She spent her time organising creative projects for the young volunteers and fulfilling many other roles from project management to logistics. Following this Liz worked as a Manager for another expedition company liaising with, training, and leading teams of young people on overseas expeditions and on UK training courses. Liz has worked part-time for Sentinel Consulting for the last 6 years, using her skills in marketing, corporate event facilitation and expedition management to help train young people, adults and remote exploration teams. She uses her qualifications and experiences gained in many remote and challenging environments to bring learning to life. Liz lives in Bath and is still a working artist in her spare time.

Liz has been a member of the City Challenge team since 2003.

Isabel Howells
Isabel has been working as an executive coach and group facilitator since 2005 and has a background in Expedition Leadership and Marketing. Isabel combines warmth of style and organisational understanding to develop her clients' interpersonal skills and better understand their impact on others. Passionate about developing people and learning, Isabel works with leaders and managers to create a climate for innovation, high performance and well-being across a range of industries and sectors. Before becoming a coach Isabel spent 20 years working within the NHS, UK charity sector and marketing for many blue chip corporate clients as well as continuing to leading and take part in many overseas expeditions. Isabel is a qualified Myers Briggs practitioner and NLP for Business and is currently studying for a Diploma in Executive Coaching at the Tavistock Consultancy.

Isabel has been a member of the City Challenge team since 2006.

Steve Naldrett BSc (Hons)
After gaining his Degree, Steve started his career with Somerfield (formerly Fine Fare) on the Graduate Management Training Scheme. Successful completion of this program saw him undertake his first management position.

Throughout his 25-year retail career Steve undertook various management roles across the United Kingdom, honing his management skills and evolving into a well-respected Senior Manager. During his time in retail, he was passionate about developing his team and colleagues. At the time of leaving he was a mentor manager, and heavily involved in the companies assessment centres and the training and development of new colleagues. Steve is now a full time training consultant utilising his expertise in assisting others in their personal and managerial development. He specialises in Retail, Catering, Licensing and Manufacturing industries. Flexible, Supportive and people orientated, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the role of a training consultant. He is people focused and believes that training is fundamental to the success of any organisation. This belief has directly contributed to the consistent success he has achieved as a business manager.

A great believer in and a practitioner of Continuous Professional Development, Steve has gained qualifications in Performance Coaching. He has completed the CIEH Professional Trainers certificate and has achieved a City and Guilds level 3 teaching qualification.

Steve has been a member of the City Challenge team since 2007.

Jenny Shepherd
Jenny's background is rooted within 11 years of experience within an FMCG environment, working both nationally and on a European level from one end of the supply pipeline planning production, through to the sharp end dealing with major customers. During this time Jenny spent 7 years within training and development functions, where she was the training manager for the UK Customer Service departments, and a training practice manager for the UK National Salesforce. As such, she supported many major initiatives, such as relocation projects, the roll out of 'The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' to UK sales managers, and the launch of a Coaching Culture to UK sales managers. She also managed the graduate development programme for new graduates within Sales. She has designed, delivered and facilitated a multitude of training workshops ranging from team builds, to presentation and facilitation skills, coaching, selling and management development programmes. Since leaving the FMCG environment, Jenny continues to focus on delivering workshops, supporting teams and providing coaching. She is an NLP Master Practitioner and coach, a licensed facilitator of 'The Seven Habits of Highly Effective people', and a certified trainer of Mobile Team Challenge. Additionally she is a qualified fitness instructor, and is currently studying for a degree in Psychology.

Jenny has been a member of the City Challenge team since 2007.

Jason Wright BSc (Hons)
Jason began his career as a graduate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, but after working on IT projects for 5 years he left the corporate world to follow his passion - martial arts. Having displayed his martial arts skills at national and international events in previous years, Jason was driven by a desire to promote martial arts training as an effective method of improving health, self defence and personal development. He spent the next 5 years teaching martial arts and self defence courses at primary and secondary schools, including devising and delivering a 3 year martial arts course specifically designed to compliment a school curriculum. In addition, he has also provided personal and group instruction to adults. These experiences have enabled him to acquire a broad range of interpersonal, motivational and coaching skills and Jason maintains a personable, yet professional approach to working with teams and team events. Jason continues to work in health and fitness; managing a health club and teaching martial arts.
