The Edinburgh Challenge

Edinburgh is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and elegant cities in Europe. A city divided architecturally by The Old Town and The New Town. Despite such contrasts, both sit harmoniously alongside each other, from the Medieval Old Town huddled around and beneath Edinburgh Castle, to the stunning 18th century Georgian splendour of the New Town, the Edinburgh Challenge will test your mental agility and your physical prowess as you move between these two districts. Along the way, experience diverse cryptic challenges at the modern retailer Harvey Nichols in The New Town or in a famous watering hole in the Old Town, from where gruesome executions were viewed by the public. Be clever and nifty and you might even be able to fit in a wee dram!

By Road
You will find Edinburgh at the hub of the Scottish motorway network - from Glasgow take the M8. Park & Ride facilities are available

By Rail
The East Coast line is the fastest inter-city railway in Britain and links Edinburgh's Waverley station with London. ScotRail and West Coast lines link the city with northern and western Britain, and the latter are ideal for travellers from the English Lakes, Chester and Bath.
